POINT PLEASANT - Homeowners say the Sandy experience has given them a new appreciation for the Shore, and has brought them together as a community.

The owners of Perks Cafe say they were lucky to sustain minimal damage from Sandy and decided to stay open to support the town.

Many residents are still out of their homes, trying to make repairs. Others have lost their jobs due to businesses that shut down after the storm.

Eric Landskroner reports from Point Pleasant, taking a look at how the community is recovering, and talking about the progress being made in rebuilding what Sandy took away.
