TOMS RIVER - Staffers with Jersey Cares sorted and organized supplies at the Home Depot in Toms River as part of preparation for upcoming Sandy Service Days.

They prepared the painting gear, landscape tools, and safety equipment for the 83 service projects that kick off as the state marks the one-year anniversary of the superstorm.

"We all had a great summer and enjoyed the shore," says Sherry Fazio ,with Jersey Cares. "But we really have so much more work to do from Bergen County all the way to Atlantic City."

Thousands of volunteers have already registered for the projects and all the supplies were paid for by the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.
