POINT PLEASANT - A Point Pleasant restaurant is sponsoring a weekly fundraising program called "RePour the Shore,” with proceeds going toward Sandy recovery.

Every Thursday, The Spot will host "RePour the Shore." For every New Jersey craft beer sold, the bar will donate $1 to Sandy recovery. The restaurant will also donate $1 for every pizza ordered on Thursdays.

"We were open four days after the storm, and the stories told were horrendous. My boss decided we would do something about it, and this is what we were able to do," says manager Toni Skoog.

Managers say they raised more than $700 in June alone, and all the money is staying in the community.

The Spot is also selling "RePour the Shore" T-shirts. The money from the shirts is going toward a volunteer group called "Shore to Recover". The group provides hands-on help to those rebuilding and repairing.
