UNION BEACH - A Union Beach family has won a $25,000 check toward a new modular home as they try to rebuild from Superstorm Sandy.
Pam Perricone's mother, Liz, entered the family in a contest to win the prize. The family was randomly selected from a pool of 12,000 people.
The family's home on Park Avenue was flooded during the storm. The Perricones thought it could be easily repaired, but soon discovered that the foundation was crumbling. They moved to Somerset in the meantime, but now that they’ve won the contest, they’re excited to be able to move back to Union Beach.

The contest was sponsored by Coastal Modular, of Wall Township. The company says it has gotten many orders for modular homes after Sandy.
The family is looking forward to moving into their new home by January.
