ORTLEY BEACH - Residents in Ortley Beach returned home this morning for the first time since Superstorm Sandy battered the region.

Only homeowners who have their electric, sewer, gas and water turned on were allowed to stay in their homes.

Most of the west and middle sections of Ortley Beach are believed to have services restored, while the eastern section from Route 35 to the ocean may not be ready.

Mayor Tom Kelaher recommends that residents go to the township website to get information on how to access the necessary forms in order to return home.
