SEA BRIGHT - A Jersey Shore landmark is set to reopen 3.5 years after it was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.
McLoone’s Rum Runner restaurant has finally been rebuilt and is expected to reopen Wednesday. The building has been built stronger and higher than the old structures. The $7 million project will enable to restaurant to withstand future storms.
Owner Tim McLoone tells News 12 New Jersey that the staff of the 11,000-square-foot restaurant are busy preparing for the opening, as they are already booked for Mother’s Day on May 7.
