LONG BRANCH - Long Branch residents are enjoying the Memorial Day weekend in spite of the soggy weather.

While the beach was empty, people were still taking walks or riding bikes in Pier Village to see the progress that's been made since Sandy.

The boardwalk is still being rebuilt, but many residents say they consider Sandy's damage a thing of the past.
