LONG BEACH ISLAND - Parts of Long Beach Island are still under construction as the area continues to recover from Sandy's devastation.

Homeowners are finding that different circumstances surround each home. On the same block, one home will need to be demolished, another is being built on the same foundation, and a third is being raised.

Businesses on Long Beach Boulevard are continuing to reopen, and many are getting creative with advertising that fact.

The Army Corps of Engineers is currently rebuilding beaches in Harvey Cedars, Brant Beach and Surf City as part of a $30 million replenishment project expected to be completed by September.
