LAVALLETTE - Residents are upset Lavallette's only post office is slated to be relocated from Grand Central Avenue to a high-traffic area.

According to the post office spokesman, the new location is still uncertain, but it is scheduled to open in about a month.

The post office closed after Sandy. The article on the yellowed front page talks about preparations for the storm and serves as a reminder for how life in Lavallette has changed.

Neighbors had been using another post office in Brick, and when that office became overwhelmed, a temporary location was set up to serve customers from Lavallette.
