FARMINGDALE - Hockey players from as far away as Massachusetts are coming together this weekend to raise money for NJ Hometown Heroes, a charity that provides Sandy relief.
Entry fees from the four-day tournament and additional money raised from selling Restore the Shore wristbands will all be donated towards recovery efforts.
Oktay Armagan is coaching a team and helped organize the event. "You look around and not just my town, but other towns that are affected and it's heartbreaking. And to do the right thing and be a part of that is a gift."
