SEASIDE HEIGHTS - Fairview Police Chief Frank Del Vecchio has completed a 106-mile run Friday across New Jersey to raise money for Sandy victims.

Del Vecchio began Thursday in Moonachie, heading into Little Ferry and Staten Island before ending in Seaside Heights at approximately 4 p.m. Friday.

"I think we certainly raised awareness of the fact that people are not doing OK today," Del Vecchio says. "Not everyone is doing OK, not everyone is back in their home."

Chief Del Vecchio has already raised more than $20,000. To donate, go to the Run for Hope Foundation's website.
