BRICK TOWNSHIP - Crews are continuing dredging projects in the Barnegat Bay, moving further north off Mantoloking Shores, in the barrier island section of Brick Township.

Sand carried there during the Superstorm is being removed to allow residents to dock boats behind their homes.

The sand will be sifted and tested for contaminants and then will be placed back onto the beach in Brick.

The project is part of a DEP-funded operation that will span the area from the Navesink River to Long Beach Island.
