EDISON - It took Congress more than two months to agree to send billions of dollars in aid to New Jersey after Superstorm Sandy destroyed much of the Jersey Shore.
Not everyone was in favor of that spending, including several Republican congressmen from Colorado. This week, those same Colorado lawmakers requested a piece of that Sandy recovery money for their state following last month's massive and deadly flooding there.
"It's in times of crisis that Americans come together to help our neighbors. Unfortunately that was not the case with several of my colleagues when victims of Hurricane Sandy desperately needed aid," says New Jersey Rep. Bill Pascrell. "Now, some of these very congressmen are shamelessly proving just how hypocritical they are by using the same Sandy funding they voted against to help their constituents."
