POINT PLEASANT - Gov. Chris Christie was at Point Pleasant Thursday as part of a weeklong series of boardwalk and beach stops along the Jersey Shore promoting Labor Day travel.
Christie highlighted the reopenings of New Jersey's many iconic boardwalks and the steps taken to rebuild them stronger and better "Board by Board."
The governor also promoted a program he considers underused, the Stronger NJ Business Grant program.

"We have hundreds of millions of dollars available for them, to help get them back on their feet," Christie says, "to make sure they not only get themselves through this summer, but to get them ready for next summer."
Christie also praised the environmental department he says has removed some 96,000 yards of cubic debris from our waterways, including more than 200 sunken boats.
