KEANSBURG - A family working to rebuild and raise their Keansburg home destroyed by Sandy has reached another milestone.
The Andalora family's home along Forest Avenue has become a three-story highrise, compared to other homes on the block.
Owner Mark Andalora has converted the bottom floor into a storage area. Floors and walls have been installed on the second and third levels, but he is waiting on the second half of a $23,000 insurance settlement before moving forward with insulation and sheet rock.

In order to be issued a check for the rest of the money being held by his insurance company, he has to turn in receipts and photos of the work already done.
Since Sandy, Andalora, his wife and daughter have been living in a trailer with a friend. He hopes to move his family back into the home within a month.
