MANASQUAN - Workers at the Aikido Center of New Jersey recently put the finishing touches on their refurbished dojo in Manasquan after Superstorm Sandy destroyed the building.

Floodwaters reached 3 feet high at the dojo during the late October storm. They were able to reopen in February, but it was not until last week when they finished painting and completing repairs.

By doing the repairs themselves, workers at the dojo say the process made their community tighter and stronger.

Aikido Center of New Jersey in Manasquan is located at 56 Union Ave.
