FBI: Taxi-hailing bank robber arrested

An FBI Task Force has arrested the man they say robbed a TD bank in Newark in May and then escaped by hailing a taxi. Clarence Smith, 61, was arrested and charged with robbery and weapons offenses.

FBI: Taxi-hailing bank robber arrested
An FBI Task Force has arrested the man they say robbed a TD bank in Newark in May and then escaped by hailing a taxi.
Clarence Smith, 61, was arrested and charged with robbery and weapons offenses.
Police say Smith allegedly went into the TD Bank on Mulberry Street and demanded money after alluding to the teller that he was armed.
