The family of a mother who died in police custody in 2013 held a rally Saturday to honor her memory.

Loved ones of Kyam Livingston say they are not giving up until they get answers for her death five years ago.

Relatives say the 37-year-old was being held at Brooklyn Central Bookings for an arrest following a domestic dispute.

While awaiting arraignment, they believe she became ill and called for medical assistance. Livingston's mother says she had colitis and asthma, and says officers did not help her.

The rally has become an annual occurrence, with loved ones demanding answers that they say have been hard to come by.

Family members say they are hoping to rename the corner of East 18th and Church streets in Livingston’s honor.

Others community members that feel they lost their loved ones from injustices joined the rally to echo similar sentiments and provide comfort.
