Family demands action in case of slain Holmdel chemist
(02/07/06) TOTOWA ? A New Jersey family is calling for increased police action one year after a chemist was found slain in a Totowa water treatment plant.
Police believe Geetha Angara was choked and dropped into one of the water tanks at her place of employment on February 8, 2005. Although police are looking closely at three of Angara?s co-workers, they say an arrest could still be far off. Angara?s family members say they are frustrated over the investigation?s lack of progress, and they want police to step up their efforts.
Passaic County Prosecutor James Avigliano says his office is working hard to make an arrest. However, he claims the investigation is difficult based on the lack of witnesses, evidence and a motive.
