From food to fuel to postage and newspapers, prices of everyday items are on the rise.

Gas in New Jersey has gone up over the past few weeks from about $3 up to $3.25. The cost of stamps will increase by a penny later this month. Starbucks also recently announced that the prices of their coffee will increasing by a few cents.

Dealnews.com says food costs rose 6 percent last year and will likely go up at least 2 percent more in 2012.

Even Powerball officials say the cost to play the game is going up, but the jackpot will be increased as well.
