JERSEY CITY - A somber ceremony was held yesterday in Jersey City to honor the more than 700 people from New Jersey killed in the attacks.

Friends and family members of 9/11 victims gathered at Jersey City's Empty Sky Memorial located at Liberty State Park to remember their lost loved ones.

The event was sponsored by the New Jersey 9/11 Memorial Foundation, a group comprised of surviving family members.

The Empty Sky memorial overlooks downtown Manhattan and lists the names of the New Jersey residents lost on 9/11.
