Many people were forced to get creative this Easter with virtual family gatherings, livestreams from churches and meet-and-greets with the Easter Bunny from a distance.
Families pulled up to Foschini Park in Hackensack as tiny hands hung out the window greeting the Easter Bunny from a distance.
After the meet-and-greet, the Hackensack Fire and Police departments spent the day escorting the rabbit around town. The hare met up with local restaurant owners of Choripan Rodizio and Clemente Bakery to deliver food to health care workers at Hackensack University Medical Center who are working hard on the holiday to battle the coronavirus.
"They were great to us, you know, people the stores, the business is doing great and now I think it's time to give back," says Choripan Podizio owner Pablo Spadavecchia.
Choripan Rodizio and Clemente Bakery donated more than 100 free meals to hospital staff weekly, along with daily dropoffs to senior citizens and those in need.
There's also a GoFundMe to help Hackensack residents who are in need during the coronavirus.
