Debo’s Drive-Thru Corner Store in Plainfield is a little business with a lot to offer, especially when New Jerseyans are trying to limit their interactions with the public.
“It is the ultimate drive-thru, where you don’t have to get out of the drive-thru for anything,” says co-owner Christina Johnson.
The shop sells everything from snacks and coffee to over-the-counter medicine and lottery tickets. It has been a blessing for many during the pandemic.
“Business didn’t slow down because we operated strictly through the drive-thru,” says Johnson. “I had a lot of those products that people were looking for…the tissues, the Lysol products. We had it when people were in a frenzy.
Debo’s used to be drive-thru and walk-in, but has operated as strictly a drive-thru for the past three months.
“We all have to support one another to keep our towns going,” Johnson says.
The store is open seven days a week.
