Don Smith is the morning and afternoon traffic reporter for News 12 New Jersey, providing over 200 live reports a week to New Jersey Drivers and Transit Riders.
Smith has been with News 12 Networks for over 15 years. He got his start in broadcasting doing local sports for Suburban Cablevision TV-3 as play by play announcer for High School Football, Basketball and Bowling. He also anchored the High School Football Wrap up show Called "Scoreboard." After TV-3 he joined Cranford TV-35 where he produced, edited and hosted "Total Sports” and "Almost Live." Smith has also worked for Kings Supermarkets in Short Hills and for Roche Pharmaceuticals doing corporate television and Video Conferencing.
He is an avid Auto and Aviation enthusiast and is a big "Home Theater Geek “keeping up with the latest in Televisions and Home Theater audio Systems.
Smith is a proud graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange.
