Domino's goes automated for speedier service
Domino?s Pizza is going automated and computerized to free up customer service representatives and hopefully speed up the pizza-making process.
As part of a new system, customers? hear an automated message when they call Domino?s. The calls are sent to a call center and then the orders are routed to the customer?s local Domino?s restaurant.
The restaurants receive the orders by computer alert that tells the workers to start making the pizzas.
Manny Acquafredda, of Domino's corporate operations, says customer service representatives will have more time to deal with their usual duties because of the system. He says if customers want to speak to a live person, that person may be as far away as Mexico or even the Philippines.
