Connecticut's gubernatorial candidates -- Republican Bob Stefanowski, Democrat Ned Lamont and independent Oz Griebel -- met Thursday afternoon for their fourth debate, in which they clashed over Gov. Dannel Malloy's signature Second Chance Society.

The program cuts penalties for drug possession and makes it easier for nonviolent criminals to get parole.

Stefanowski mentioned the dozens of suspected drug overdoses weeks ago in New Haven, while Lamont said "crime is at an all-time low" and that there are fewer repeat offenders because of Second Chance. Griebel said he probably wouldn't make changes to the program.

Griebel got a lot more attention than he has before. Lamont called him a conservative; Stefanowski labeled him a Malloy clone.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
