Gov. Jon Corzine spent Monday urging New Jersey residents to go out and vote on Election Day.

The governor shook hands with commuters at the Jersey City PATH station reminding them to vote on Tuesday. The most important issue Corzine is pushing on the ballot is the question about stem cell research. He is urging all residents to vote yes for the research.

?We need to make sure that people express themselves on one of the most important issues of the day,? Corzine said.

Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan, who ran for governor in 2005, was also out Monday urging people to vote. Lonegan says the election is another chance for taxpayers to decide how the state spends their money.

Meanwhile, experts are predicting a dismal turnout in the Garden State, even though every seat in the state Legislature is up for grabs.

Polls open at 6 a.m. on Nov. 6 and close at 8 p.m.
