Companies summoned in warehouse death

AVENEL - Five companies have been summoned in connection to the death of a warehouse worker last year.

Ronald Smith was killed when he was caught between equipment at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Avenel. The warehouse was being run by Genco of Pittsburgh.

According to reports, Genco and four other companies were cited for not certifying that a hazard assessment of the facility be conducted before employees were put to work.
