All is calm on a Friday in Belmar, but we are carefully and closely monitoring the Atlantic Ocean as a significant coastal storm develops.

Sunday through Monday would be the impact time.

There's concern for coastal flooding, beach erosion, dangerous waves, potentially damaging winds and heavy rain leading to flooding.

Keep an eye on the tide cycles, high tide could bring in moderate to major flooding and beach erosion is a major concern along the Jersey Shore.

Waves heights near 15 to 20 feet with gale and storm force winds 45-55 kts. At the beaches northeast winds could gust up to 60 mph.

And inland, wind gusts of 30-50 mph possible, potentially taking out power.

Heavy rain may lead to flooding, especially in urban areas.

Stay tuned to News 12 for the latest developments on this coastal storm.
