In a news conference today, Gov. Christie (R-N.J.) sounded off on a number of issues, touching on everything from charter schools to medical marijuana to minimum wage to gay marriage.

Christie spoke about a bill allowing non-profits to operate public schools in Newark, Trenton and Camden. He also spoke about medical marijuana and how he doesn't want to force municipalities to establish the facilities.

As for minimum wage, Christie said, "Just as we're just beginning to create private sector jobs in this debate, I do not want to make it more difficult to create more at any level of employment."

On gay marriage, Christie says that Democrats have already set an agenda, and he's set his, and it's just a matter of who gets there first. Christie has previously stated that he defines marriage as between one man and one woman.

The governor is scheduled to give his State of the State address on Jan. 17 at 3 p.m.
