A nationwide E. coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce may be over, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Tainted lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona region is being blamed for the outbreak.

The CDC says that shipments of the lettuce were harvested on April 16 and are now past their 21-day shelf life. Officials say the romaine lettuce being sold and served now is not the romaine linked to the illnesses.

Over 170 people across 32 states, including New Jersey, were sickened last month. At least 75 were hospitalized. One person died.
