1/2 c sugar 1/2 c honey1/2 sliced almonds1 1/2 c flour2 eggs2 tbs melted butter1/2 tbs baking powder1/2 tbs baking soda1/2 tbs cinnamon1/2 tsp clovesZest of 1 lemon

*Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves in a bowl. Set aside.*Combine sugar and eggs and beat until pale yellow.*Add in the honey, almonds, lemon zest and butter and mix.*Slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.*Form the dough into 5 or 6 small logs and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.*Allow to cool before slicing on a diagonal.
