Bronx group spreads awareness for Human Trafficking Prevention Month

A Bronx group gathered in Williamsburg Saturday to remind neighbors to pay attention to their surroundings for Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
One member of the organization Not on Our Watch, who has asked to be referred to as Mrs. Jonesy, says her daughter was kidnapped and trafficked in 2017.
Mrs. Jonesy says her daughter was kidnapped multiple times but is now back home. She says the man who kidnapped her was convicted and sentenced a few weeks ago.
"In this area of the Bronx, human trafficking is unfortunately a reality we have to deal with," Sen. Jamaal Bailey said. "But if we continue to bring awareness to it we can finally bring an end to the surge to human trafficking."
