The Brick Town Council has unanimously voted to pass the so-called "Animal House" ordinance at a meeting Tuesday evening.
The ordinance would fine irresponisble and absentee landlords who rent to rowdy tenants.
Landlords would also have to post bond of up to $5,000 for tenants convicted of breaking criminal or municipal laws twice during a two-year period.
"Animal House" will go into effect in 20 days.
