Fans of a well-loved pizza shop in Belmont are celebrating its return to the neighborhood.

For the past three decades, Chris Castlan has been sharing his passion of pizza making with customers at Joe's Little Italy Pizza.

The pizzeria has been a staple in the heart of Little Italy since 1987. It recently reopened after being shut down for about a year due to nearby construction.

Some regular customers say they couldn't be happier with the reopening.

"I've been coming here since I was a kid. We get to enjoy the real pizza back again," says customer Abisael Beltran.

For Castlan, who says he can't imagine himself not making pizza, being back in the community is like a dream come true.

"I’ve got to say thanks to the neighborhood. I'm very happy when I opened again. Very, very happy, like I had a little kid with a little toy, that's how happy am," says Castlan.

Some of the most popular items on the menu at Joe's Little Italy Pizza include the meat lover's pizza, which has a variety of meats on it including bacon and sausage.
