The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson and Union Counties is celebrating the holidays and a milestone anniversary.

The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson and Union Counties is celebrating the holidays and a milestone anniversary.
The agency matches mentors with children and organizes group events for “bigs” and “littles.” The pairs also participate in other events outside of the group setting.
BBBS is observing its 10th anniversary of serving kids in Essex, Hudson and Union counties.
"Its a blessing to serve our community for a decade,” says CEO Carlos Lejniaks.
He says the agency plans to grow and “amplify” over the next decade.
The bigs are asked to put in four hours a month for one year, but the relationships almost always last longer. 
Big Brothers, Big Sisters is always looking for volunteers to be a mentor, donors to help fund programs and matches, and corporate sponsors. Anyone interested in helping can visit their website.
