The man accused of pulling the trigger in a quadruple shooting in Hudson County over the weekend remains on the loose, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities identified the shooter as 27-year-old Jonathan Haughey-Morales, of West New York.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez says that the shooting happened Sunday around 3:30 a.m. North Bergen police responded to reports of gunfire at 2033 46th St. in North Bergen and found four people shot in the vestibule area of the house, according to officials.
One of the victims, 40-year-old Carlos Garcia, was pronounced dead about an hour after the shooting. The other victims, two men and one woman, were treated at the hospital. Two of the victims have been released and one remains in critical condition, according to Suarez.
Haughey-Morales faces a variety of charges, including murder and aggravated assault. Officials say he is to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if located.
Anyone who may have information of Haughey-Morales’s whereabouts should contact the prosecutor’s homicide unit at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip.
