Authorities: State police officer struck by car during traffic stop in Hamilton Township

Authorities say the officer was conducting a traffic stop on a Chevy Cobalt when he was struck by a Hyundai Tucson that failed to move over.

A state police officer was seriously hurt after being hit by a car during a recent traffic stop on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hamilton Township.
Authorities say the officer was conducting a traffic stop on a Chevy Cobalt when he was struck by a Hyundai Tucson that failed to move over.
The driver of the Hyundai Tucson struck two troop cars and the Chevy, according to police. The officer had been standing near one of those cars and was thrown into a grass median by the impact.
The officer was flown to a hospital with serious injuries, according to authorities.
The driver of the Hyundai Tucson and a passenger were also treated for injuries.
