Authorities: Operation ‘Clean Sweep’ results in arrest of some of the state's ‘most violent offenders’

Operation “Clean Sweep,” a multi-agency law enforcement operation in New Jersey, has resulted in the arrest of over 190 violent fugitives in multiple counties, according to the US Marshals Service.

Operation “Clean Sweep,” a multi-agency law enforcement operation in New Jersey, has resulted in the arrest of over 190 violent fugitives in multiple counties, according to the US Marshals Service.
The monthlong operation focused on some of the "most violent offenders across the state.’
The operation resulted in the arrest of more than 190 gang members, sex offenders, and violent criminals. Among the arrested were 72 gang members, 13 suspects wanted for homicide, and 80 suspects wanted for weapons offenses.
The operation targeted specific counties including Essex, Mercer, Camden, Atlantic, and Gloucester.
