Arrest made in Sept. 20 fatal stabbing inside Williamsburg deli

An arrest has been made in connection to a deadly stabbing that happened in September.
Police say 26-year-old William Townsend was arrested and charged Thursday with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Investigators say he fatally stabbed 37-year-old Anthony Santana, of Queens, to death on Sept. 20.
Officials say they responded to a deli at 132 Graham Ave. in Williamsburg around 5 a.m. on that day. They say Santana had been stabbed multiple times in the back. Police say they believe Townsend and Santana got into a fight outside the deli, went inside and that is when Townsend allegedly stabbed Santana repeatedly.
News 12 is told it was a combination of multiple things that led them to Townsend, including video in the area.
