Authorities have charged a U.S. Army recruiter with possession and distribution of child pornography.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says officers found images and videos of underage girls on 29-year-old Andre DeMelo's laptop computer during a search of his Newark apartment.
DeMelo faces 5 to 10 years in prison if convicted. He would also be registered as a sex offender under Megan's Law.
