Armed robbers steal narcotics from Rite Aid in Brick
Brick Township police are looking for three armed men who stole narcotics from the Rite Aid pharmacy on Burnt Tavern Road Sunday evening.
Police say that two of the men were armed and forced their way inside the pharmacy around 6 p.m.
One of the suspects disabled the automatic door while the other two jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription narcotics, according to police.
The suspects loaded the drugs into a backpack and then ran from the store toward Red Maple Drive.
Police believe they may have escaped in a small dark-colored SUV that drove eastbound on Van Zile Road toward Route 70.
Police also believe the three men were driving a four-door sedan just prior to the robbery.
Anyone who may recognize the suspects or who has any information about the robbery should contact the Brick Township Police Department at 732-262-1100.
