6h agoAll lanes are open on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County after an accident investigation caused delays during the Monday morning commute.
Commuters experienced heavy delays during the early morning commute on the northbound lanes between exits 114 and 116 near the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel.
The delays were the result of a crash that happened around 3:30 a.m. after reports of an overturned vehicle with injuries near Exit 116.
The crash itself was cleaned up around 6:30 a.m., which was followed by the investigation that resulted in the closing of at least one lane.
The lane reopened around 8 a.m. but motorists still experienced some delays for another half-hour until the traffic eased on the Parkway.
