About 4,000 pounds of soup recalled; some sold in NJ
A Massachusetts manufacturer is recalling about 4,000 pounds of soup products after customers found bits of plastic in the soups.
The products were made by Blount Fine Foods and were sold at Wegmans supermarkets in six states, including New Jersey.
There have been no injuries reported.
The following products, all under the Wegmans Food Markets label, are being recalled:
- 16 oz. cups of Chicken and Dumpling Soup with a "use by" date of August 24
- 16 oz. cups of Gazpacho Soup with a "use by" date of September 2
- 16 oz. cups of Italian Wedding Style Soup with Meatballs, Tomato Basil with Orzo, Caribbean Black Bean and Lobster Bisque, all with a "use by" date of September 3.
