Four Sullivan County High School students are facing disciplinary action for photos posted to social media this week that mock the death of George Floyd.
The Livingston Manor School District says one of the images – showing a student face down on a desk – was taken inside the school.
District Superintendent John Evans released a statement online condemning the images and insensitive remarks, saying, "On behalf of the Livingston Manor Central School District I apologize for this inappropriate student behavior. Racism cannot and will not be tolerated."
District officials say student disciplinary matters are confidential, and no further information will be released.
