Thirty-one tires were slashed or punctured on 16 cars in the
Greenville section of Jersey City.
All the tires are on side facing the sidewalk, leading most
to believe at least one person just walked down Bayside Terrace and punctured
holes in 31 tires during the overnight hours.
“At about 6:30 in the morning, one
of the neighbors came frantically knocking on our door and was like, hey, all
the tires on the street have been slashed,” says Patrick Degidio.
Degidio started a GoFundMe page to try to raise money to help offset
the costs of replacing the tires.
Some residents have already spent
the money and were replacing their tires earlier today.
There is no word yet from police as
they continue the investigation.
