The second of two state troopers is now facing criminal charges and disciplinary action for leading a high-speed caravan of luxury and sports cars down the Garden State Parkway.
Joseph Ventrella turned himself in today. He's facing criminal charges for allegedly falsifying and tampering with records about the escort.
Ventralla, along with Sgt. Nadir Nassry, were suspended without pay back in April after video of the caravan speeding down the Garden State Parkway on March 30 escorted by state police was uploaded to YouTube and quickly went viral.
Attorney General Jeff Chiesa and State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes recently announced new guidelines for how to handle escorts so that future escorts are done in a way that promotes public safety.
