1960s fighter jet makes its way to NYC’s Intrepid Museum

A 1960s fighter jet is heading to its new home at the Intrepid Museum on the West Side of Manhattan. 
The jet will be towed down the East River from Connecticut.
The jet is a Douglas F4D Skyray, and it launched from the Intrepid during the Cold War when the ship was still in service.
It will sit on the Intrepid's flight deck and is the 28th jet in the Musem's aircraft collection.
